Our global impact: How TP made a difference on World Cleanup Day

TP - 11.28.2025

On World Cleanup Day, TP teams across the globe rose to the occasion, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability through diverse and impactful initiatives. Read on as we recap some of the incredible efforts from our teams in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Morocco!

TP’s initiatives that made a difference on World Cleanup Day

Brazil: A holistic approach to eco-consciousness

In Brazil, our TP teams embraced World Cleanup Day with a goal to take immediate action and raise long-term awareness. Through “Daily Tips,” employees received eco-friendly advice via intranet posts. Employees were also asked to share 30-second videos of sustainable actions in their daily lives.

Teams held a cleanup activity at the Guarapiranga Reservoir, a vital natural heritage site in São Paulo that supplies 25% of the metropolitan region's water. 16 volunteers worked tirelessly to clean its banks and safeguard this crucial water source for millions.

Dominican Republic: Significant strides on Fuerte San Gil Beach

Our teams in the Dominican Republic made a substantial impact on Fuerte San Gil Beach. Their efforts resulted in the collection of waste sorted to maximize recycling and proper disposal. The team collected 5.9 kg of metal, 21.3 kg of glass, and 1,356.7 kg of general waste

This highlights the significant volume of waste removed from a beautiful and important coastal area, preventing it from harming marine life and polluting the ocean.

Mexico: Sharing smiles and values

In Mexico, 38 volunteers contributed 110 hours to collect 65.5 kg of trash. Volunteers found the initiative to be “more just than picking up trash, it was about sharing smiles and giving our environment a breath of fresh air.”

Morocco: An inclusive and transformative experience

Our teams in Morocco had a cleanup activity Mrkaz beach in Mohammedia, a sprawling 30-hectare site and a primary site for an ecological cleanup operation.

Furthermore, our teams partnered with Centre Malaika, an organization working for the inclusion of children with disabilities, particularly those with Down syndrome. Tailored activities ensured children actively engaged in cleaning and workshops, promoting solidarity, inclusion, diversity, and accessibility.

Another collective effort from our Moroccan teams yielded a 3,045 kg of waste collected, predominantly plastics. Participants also took part in a guided fitness session, blending "plogging" (jogging while picking up litter) with physical activity.

Creative waste transformation workshops demonstrated how waste can be upcycled into useful objects, fostering ecological awareness and sustainable habits. Teams also engaged the youth in marine conservation, teaching basics of sport fishing with an emphasis on respecting minimum catch sizes and preserving marine biodiversity.
