TP partners with COMELEC for voter registration initiative

TP - 06.08.2025

Metro Manila, August 6, 2025 – TP, a global leader in digital business services, partners with the Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for the implementation of the latter’s Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP). TP hosted an on-site voter registration drive at TP Aura, successfully processing hundreds of TP employees along with their family members.

In line with the COMELEC’s direction in making electoral registration more accessible to the public in time for the December 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections, SRAP is a special initiative designed to bring voter registration services closer to qualified applicants by setting up satellite registration activities in selected institutions such as private establishments, schools, hospitals, and government offices. The said initiative aims to promote greater participation in the electoral process by reaching out to eligible citizens who may otherwise find it difficult to visit regular registration sites.

“The SRAP is a clear example of how collaboration between government and the private sector can make democratic processes more accessible. By hosting this activity onsite, we’re helping ensure that more Filipinos—especially those with differing work schedules—are seen, heard, and included in shaping the country’s future,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Chief People Officer of TP in the Philippines.

Among SRAP’s objectives include the enhancement of the electoral registration experience; the promotion of gender equality; and the provision of a gender-sensitive, credible, convenient, and well-managed registration system/process.

“This partnership with COMELEC is aligned with our people-first culture at TP. We are proud to provide opportunities that go beyond the workplace, enabling our employees and their families to take part in civic activities that truly matter. It’s initiatives like these that reinforce our role not just as an employer of choice, but as a committed community partner,” Johnson added.

By ensuring that voter registration is accessible and convenient for employees working in various, round-the-clock schedules, and by empowering its Filipino employees and their families to exercise their civic duties, SRAP positions TP as an active partner in nation-building. Alongside media representatives, the activity was graced by COMELEC Chairperson George Erwin Garcia, COMELEC Executive Director Divina Blas Perez, COMELEC Commissioner Maria Norina Tangaro-Casingal, COMELEC Commissioner Nelson Celis, and PPCRV National Coordinator Dr. Arwin Serrano.

TP’s partnership with COMELEC and other people-first initiatives reinforce the organization’s top spot as one of the most preferred employers in the IT-BPM industry. This is substantiated further by TP’s eighth consecutive Great Place to Work® certification which recognizes the organization’s positive and engaging workplace culture.

“We at TP are proud to be part of this endeavor, and we extend our support to COMELEC and all participating partners for the successful implementation of the SRAP. May this initiative strengthen our democratic institutions and encourage a new generation of voters to be active stakeholders in our nation’s future,” TP in the Philippines Vice President of Human Resources Rachel Cacabelos added.
