Each year, World Refugee Day honors the courage, strength, and resilience of refugees worldwide. It’s a day to recognize their immense contributions and to raise awareness about the challenges they face.
This year, our TP Women community in Portugal proudly stood beside the #IAmRemarkable movement, celebrating resilience, empowerment, and the achievements of women from all walks of life.
The #IAmRemarkable global initiative aims to empower underrepresented groups by encouraging self-promotion and challenging stereotypes. By amplifying diverse voices, it fosters an environment where everyone’s achievements are celebrated. As of March 2025, the initiative has reached more than 700,000 participants from 180 countries with over 3,000 active facilitators delivering the workshop worldwide.
TP Women held a transformative session, creating a space to celebrate accomplishments while challenging societal norms around self-promotion. We had the honor of welcoming young women from Afghanistan who shared inspiring stories of strength, hope, and perseverance.
During the session, participants explored actionable strategies to overcome imposter syndrome, build confidence, and master the art of self-promotion. The workshop fostered a spirit of camaraderie, as attendees connected with fellow members, shared experiences, and expanded their professional and personal networks.
We’ve been proud allies of #IAmRemarkable since 2021 because its mission aligns directly with our values of empathy, inclusivity, and empowerment. Initiatives like these remind us that small acts of recognition and inclusion can spark significant change.
More than just a one-off event, this event demonstrates TP’s ongoing dedication to creating spaces for learning and growth. Through our partnership with #IAmRemarkable, we hope to challenge societal norms and empower individuals beyond our workshops.
