Five AI trends emerging from the World Summit AI: The shift from possibility to production

TP - 10.30.2025

The conversation around Artificial Intelligence has moved beyond the “art of the possible” and into an era of maturity and responsibility. At the World Summit AI in Amsterdam, the key takeaway wasn’t about what new models can be built, but rather, how it should be done.

TP's Global Head of AI at TP, Danny Kuivenhoven, and Chief Business Development Officer for EMEA at TP, Marcel Vrieling, attended the event and recorded their top insights. Their consensus is clear: successful AI adoption in the enterprise is now a story about people, policy, and practical AI scaling.

Here are the 5 most critical AI trends they identified that are defining the next era of enterprise technology.

1. Governance and responsibility are the new AI hype

The global conversation is quickly shifting away from what's possible to what's responsible. With new global regulations emerging, like the EU AI Act, companies must now balance innovation with compliance.

Leaders are realizing that governance, explainability, and human-in-the-loop oversight are the key designs for success in this maturity phase. The most advanced organizations are adopting a "security by design" mindset, ensuring that governance is baked in from the start to prevent slowing down innovation.

2. AI is a people story—Augmentation is the mantra

AI is fundamentally a people story, not just a technology one. The human element is crucial in building models and redesigning customer journeys.

As Marcel Vrieling noted: “Behind every piece of AI, there's always a human individual providing guidance, training, and setting it up”. This leads to the philosophy of AI Augmentation: AI makes humans better at the moment. Humans make AI better over time.

3. The gap between pilot and production is widening

While many companies are experimenting, a significant challenge remains: scaling AI. Most are still engaged in small pilots, and few have examples of large-scale implementation.

To make AI truly production-ready, leaders need three non-negotiables:

  • Robust Data Foundations: Data must be clean, anonymized, and truly AI-ready from the start.

  • Human Feedback Loops: Experts must be in place to validate, correct, and enhance the model performance over time.

  • Operational Integration: AI must be embedded directly into existing workflows—not just sitting beside them—to create measurable value.

4. Business outcome dictates orchestration

A key insight for C-suite leaders is the need to focus on business outcomes before technology implementation. Marcel Vrieling emphasized that AI should support a defined business purpose, otherwise, it shouldn't be done.

The struggle now is orchestration—taking successful AI solutions and integrating them end-to-end to drive that business result. This requires orchestrating a complex process that combines Generative AI capabilities with human oversight.

5. Customer experience expectations are accelerating

In the CX industry, the customer always wins. The evolution of AI technology is rapidly raising customer expectations. They will soon expect AI-driven solutions throughout their entire journey.

This trend, driven by demand for greater personalization and faster, more accurate responses, requires companies to be ready for an acceleration. Leaders must build the necessary foundations today to be able to scale fast when the market expects it.

Turning ambition into action

For company leaders, the transition from ambition to action requires two things:

  1. Strategic Focus: Don't do AI just because you can. Choose a use case that directly impacts your metrics, creates measurable value, and can be monetized.

  2. Partnership: Instead of trying to own all of AI, leverage expert partners who have proven methodologies and industry experience to structure your AI journey in a secure, compliant manner.

That’s why TP is the right partner to turn AI ambition into action — securely, responsibly, and at scale.
