On International Charity Day, we celebrate the power of purpose in action in India. At TP, this purpose comes to life through initiatives that offer real opportunities for growth, stability, and independence.
Through our Citizen of the World (COTW) program, we’ve reached over 38,000 people across 21 cities and 12 states in India, empowering each one to dream bigger, aim higher, and shape a better tomorrow.
Education begins in the classroom. Through TP’s efforts in constructing and renovating classrooms, dining spaces and restrooms, and installing solar energy systems, one of the schools we support now offers a safer, more sustainable learning environment for over 1,100 students. Safety equipment, CCTV systems, and fire protection have further enhanced the school’s ability to deliver quality education.
Another vital initiative involved partnering to provide mid-day meals to children in government schools. In the past year alone, more than 25,000 children have received hot, nutritious meals that fuel their studies and improve attendance and overall health.
We have also supported programs serving underprivileged children, youth, and women with disabilities by sustaining residential spaces and inclusive learning environments. These centers offer basic education and values-based learning, helping people with intellectual disability grow, build confidence, and gain livelihood skills.
Recognizing the challenges faced by people with disabilities in accessing digital tools, the E-Daksh Program delivers inclusive training that prepares students for future careers. With over 400 participants annually, the program is breaking down barriers and opening doors to a tech-enabled future.
Another project we support in India, the Pathshala Holistic Education Centers have become safe spaces for nearly 9,000 children across India to receive academic support. These centers help close critical learning gaps, foster age-appropriate development, and prepare adolescents—especially girls—for their next steps.
Our initiatives go beyond the classroom. TP helps in equipping young individuals with practical tools and training to transition from learning to employability.
The Center for Change empowers more than 1,000 students every year through training that enhances academic performance and job readiness. Many students at risk of dropping out are now confidently enrolling in higher education or stepping into meaningful careers.
TP’s volunteering initiative under the COTW mentorship program offers young adults exposure to the corporate world and inspiration through stakeholder success stories empowering them to explore new possibilities.
We believe education is the first step toward a better tomorrow. Join us in celebrating International Charity Day and learn more about our Citizens of the World initiatives.
