TP for UNICEF: Safeguarding Displaced Children in Latin America and the Caribbean

TP - 12.09.2024

Marking two years of partnership with UNICEF, we reflect on our aim to help children in Latin America and the Caribbean and celebrate the significant milestones achieved by UNICEF with our support. Our partnership has addressed the urgent needs of displaced children, ensuring their safety, stability, and access to essential services amid complex emergencies.

Latin America and the Caribbean face overlapping complex emergencies, including migration, violence, civil unrest, and climate change. These crises have compounded people's exclusion and vulnerabilities, leaving 16.6 million people, including 5.4 million children, in need of humanitarian assistance. Thanks in part to our partnership, UNICEF has focused on enhancing the safety and well-being of the children affected by the multifactorial crisis, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need to thrive.

Our support enabled UNICEF to reach approximately 3,460 people in 2023 with critical services, including humanitarian aid, education opportunities, psychosocial support, primary health care, hygiene supplies and services, and essential information.
